Cambodia E Visa

jeremymorris1812

Apply directly to the Royal Embassy of Cambodia using the link below, it takes a few days for them to process. Print two copies, you will also be given a couple of landing cards on the plane to fill in. The e Visa is good at the major airports, Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Sinhoukville and some border crossings.

Tourist visas (Type T) can be extended in Phnom Penh for another 30 days, get a travel agent to do this, may take them 10 days.

You'll have to hand over your passport to get the extension, effectively grounding yourself, so use a trustworthy agency as below. Dont bother trying to do this yourself as you are paying for them to expediate the process and the office is out of town.

Can I book into a hotel in Phnom Penh without a passport? Yes you just need to present a photocopy for them to scan at check in. I travel with this anyway as it's supposed to be easier to get a replacement if you have one.

The visa extension is a sticker to any free blank space in your passport

etc ......

Is it worth going through this process, perhaps not, potentialy 10 days without a passport out of 30 when you could easily travel into Thailand, Vietnam and presumably return with a new e Visa processed in 2 working days.
