Kuang Si Falls

About an hours backbreaking drive from Luang Prabang are spectacular waterfalls. The trail winds through a forest passing turquoise ponds and cascades, culminating in a three tier waterfall. There was a short ride on an electric vehicle to the forest, it took a while to work that out as the van driver was off like a shot.

It was difficult not to be reminded of the paintings you often see hanging in Chinese Takeaways.
