Kampot is on the Praek Tuek Chhu River southeast of the Elephant Mountains
Early Morning
It was once the most important trading hub on the Mekong Delta and you can still see evidence of Chinese settlers shopfronts.
The town has a very laid back feel with an attractive riverside, interesting restaurants and nice people. I arrived as the sun was going down.
