About 60 miles from Siem Reap there is a fishing village built on wooden stilts next to a flooded mangrove forest by the Tonle Sap lake.

A scorched red dusty causeway leads you to ticket control who will relieve you of USD. Show the ticket at the jetty and you'll get directed on to a boat. How much of this money finds its way back to needy villagers is anyones guess. You can get off at the first stop and the ladies waiting there will take you through the forest paddling traditional wooden boats, for an additional fee. There's no scrum to get your business.
